For nearly 30 years, James Schulz has been involved in state and federal government and politics, having held key staff positions in the U.S. Congress as well as New Jersey’s legislative and executive branches.  Having a career that spans both the public and private sectors, he has a deep knowledge of government operations and its impact on business development. Since 2002, Jim Schulz has been the Director of Governmental and Public Affairs for the New Jersey Dental Association. He is the founder and president of K2 Main Consulting, LLC, a strategic consulting company specializing in government relations, business development and corporate strategy. Mr. Schulz has extensive governmental and non-profit board experience, having held numerous leadership positions.  At present, he serves on the Mercer County Park Commission, the Hamilton Area YMCA, the NJ Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, the NJ Dental Lifeline Network, Smiles Across Montana, and the Golf Association of Philadelphia Public Engagement Committee. In 2019, Jim was inducted as an Honorary Fellow in the International College of Dentists for his years of service to the dental profession and his efforts to improve oral health. Mr. Schulz is one of only 100 non-dentists to have been bestowed this honor in the College’s 100-year history. In 2022, Governor Murphy nominated Mr. Schulz to serve on the College of New Jersey Board of Trustees, his alma mater, and was confirmed by the NJ Senate in February 2023. He lives in Mercer County, New Jersey, and has two daughters, Alexis, and Lauren.
