Mr. Gibbs is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sturdivant & Co., Inc. Sturdivant & Co. is one of the oldest continuously operated minority owned investment firms in the country serving institutional, corporate and governmental entities providing consumer equity research, comprehensive equity execution, and municipal underwriting services. Sturdivant is headquartered in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey with additional offices in Philadelphia (PA) and Chicago (IL). Carl’s responsibilities include setting the overall direction of the firm. Mr. Gibbs has over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Sturdivant & Co., he served as Executive Vice President at Harris Capital Partners, a regional brokerage firm, where he oversaw planning, accounting, financial reporting functions, and investor relations. He began his career at Prudential Insurance Company where he was a top producer for 3 years. Carl serves as Chair on The Board of Trustees for the College of New Jersey, Treasurer for the National Association of Securities Professionals, Philadelphia Chapter and the Ralph A. Sturdivant Sr. Foundation. Mr. Gibbs is FINRA registered Series 7, 24, 63 and 87.
