Maddy serves as Head of Public Affairs, Americas for Ørsted. She is responsible for managing the company’s public affairs in the Americas region, including market communications, investor and media relations, partnerships, and external engagement. Maddy previously served as Head of Government Affairs and Market Strategy, NJ with Ørsted for three years. Prior to joining the Ørsted team in March 2021, Maddy worked as a Senior Associate with River Crossing Strategy Group where she represented clients in the energy sector. In 2018, Maddy served as Policy Advisor to Governor Phil Murphy, focused on energy and environment. During this time, she worked on the drafting and implementation of the Clean Energy Act of 2018 as well as other cornerstone aspects of Governor Murphy’s clean energy agenda. Prior to serving in the Murphy Administration, Maddy worked for New Jersey Audubon, where she managed a multi-state coalition of environmental NGOs and led successful federal advocacy efforts for conservation programs and funding. Maddy also has experience leading coalitions of NGOs focused on criminal justice, as well as working in the New Jersey State Legislature and the U.S. House of Representatives. Maddy received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from The College of New Jersey, and earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The College of New Jersey and on the Board of Trustees of New Jersey Future. Maddy has several years of experience volunteering on local planning and zoning Boards and on City Council.
