Rosie Hymerling, a dedicated member of The College of New Jersey Board of Trustees, resides in the town of Haddonfield, New Jersey. She’s had an outstanding forty-year career in kindergarten education, including a decade devoted to children with developmental delays which showcased her commitment to inclusive education. Despite her retirement from formal teaching, Rosie continues to impart knowledge and guidance, offering tutoring and enrichment programs to kindergarten students at Kingston School, where her grandchildren are currently enrolled. Her altruistic spirit recently led her to Guatemala on a humanitarian mission sponsored by Be Humanitarian, a journey dedicated to serving those in need and making a meaningful difference in the world. Beyond academia, Rosie is deeply involved in her community’s artistic endeavors, lending her expertise as a board member to the Markeim Arts Center, Symphony in C, the Haddonfield Civic Association, the Haddonfield Outdoor Sculptural Trust, and the Rosie Hymerling Arts Center. Her genuine appreciation for art extends beyond boardrooms, as Rosie is an avid collector herself. Additionally, her shelves overflow with books, forming her own “mini Barnes Museum,” reflecting her love for learning. Rosie epitomizes the essence of a lifelong learner, community advocate, and compassionate humanitarian.
